KOTA BAHARU: Kelantan football fans have called upon Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) to investigate the incident where the main gate to Stadium Sultan Mohamed IV was breached by ticketless spectators for the friendly between Kelantan and Narathiwat FA on Dec 26.
The fans feel the incident was frustrating as it was not fair to ticket buyers and reflected poor security as the intruders went in easily.
The incident happened when the main gate of the stadium was opened as soon as the match started and hundreds of ticketless fans poured in without any control by Kafa and stadium management.
“Such incidents not only cause losses to Kafa but also dampen the spirit of sportmanship,” fan Rahimi Hussein, 26, told Bernama here yesterday.
The match ended with no goals scored.
Kafa chief executive officer Tuan Hashim Tuan Yaakob said several friendlies slated would allow the association to identify weaknesses before the start of new Super League season.— Bernama
