KUCHING: Twelve teams statewide will compete in the Sarawak Closed 2009 Badminton Championships in Kapit sometime this month.

Kapit Badminton Association (BA) secretary David Chuo said the tournament, to be held in Kapit for the second time, hoped to unearth new talents and promote the game.

Sarawak BA is looking forward to the participation of all the divisional badminton associations and clubs in view of Sukma in Melaka next year.
