KUCHING: Institut Eksekutif (IE) recently organised its fifth in-house badminton tournament at Crown Towers Executive Club as part of efforts to encourage its student to participate in activities aimed at making their campus life a more enriching experience.
Fifty players took part in three categories of competition – menas singles, doubles and womenas doubles.
A total of 15 players from all the categories who won first, second and third placings received cash prizes.
While academic excellence is one of its top priorities, IE recognises the importance of the nonacademic on-campus experiences of its students in terms of personal development and enhancement.
According to IE, this annual tournament is an opportunity for badminton enthusiasts to test their skills among their peers apart from discovering talents among the students.
It also fosters social interaction and better bonding among the participants, and enables the organisers to enhance their management skills.
