KEMAMAN: National shuttler, Roslin Hashim, has expressed his willingness to help beef up the national squad in facing the Thomas Cup 2010.
He said although he had been resting for almost six months, he was confident that he was still capable of discharging his responsibilities and was still on par with the other young players.
“It’s up to the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) in making the selection.
If it’s a matter of wanting to play (represent the country), everyone wants to play.
Although I’ve been inactive for six months, the desire to represent (the country) is still there.
“But if I am not selected, it is alright… I won’t feel hurt because I know although in terms of capability I may be able to compete against the young players, in terms of ranking, I’m still lagging behind,” he said.
He said this when met at the four-day Little Champs Camp for the Kemaman parliamentary constituency beginning last Thursday at the Kompleks Rakan Muda, here. — Bernama
